Choose between "Own artwork (PDF, JPEG, TIFF)" and "Design online with freedesign". If you choose the option "Own artwork (PDF, JPEG, TIFF)", please send us your finished print files via email or upload. Please choose "Design online with freedesign" if you want to work on designs provided by us online.
Pages
The number of pages for your postcard should always refer to the finished (e.g. folded) format.
Example postcard : double-sided print unfolded: 105 x 148 mm A6, 2 pagesprint .
Example postcard : 4 pages folded:
It is necessary that you provide a preassembled lay-out for folded multi-page postcards .
Format
The size of your postcard that you have selected in this box should always refer to the final finished product.
When it comes to design ing your postcard it is very important to include a 2mm bleed to all edges. Please get further information on how to set up your postcards by checking the fact sheet provided online .
Paper
For postcards , we offer you pure white premium paper for printing images. All offset printing paper is pure white, and suitable for copying and laser printing. Our postcard chromo board can be written on on its underside, and is distinguished by large volume.
Print
The printing of postcards is realised in CMYK and Pantone.
Under Screen/Paper proof you can order a screen proof or colour binding paper proof of your postcard , certified according to the Fogra quality standard.
Processing
Please pay attention to the correct selection! You always refer to the closed and therefore finished product. Starting from a paper weight of 280 gsm chromo board, the product will be non-folded on delivery.
Example: Postcard , A6, 4 pages, 280 gsm chromo board. Processing: Trimming, grooving (plano).
It would be wrong to select 148 x 210 mm (A5), 2 pages because this defines the open format.
Refining
Refine and protect your postcard with a matt or glossy spot varnish or - for a paperweight of 170 gsm or higher - with a matt or glossy layer of foil (lamination).
Creasing/perforation
If you want to have your postcards creased or perforated (recommended from 170 gsm upwards) here you can select how many lines you will need for your postcard . Please note that even with a creasing or perforation line cracking of the spine could occur. You can choose a line of perforation for a tear off.
Proof
Just order your soft proof right here.
Please consider that the respective proof can be ordered only once (original order). In case you will make modifications after the receipt of the proof, a second order/delivery of a proof is not possible. Please note that this is a layout proof.
